This version of the forged links necklace has chain around half of the piece, I love the contrast between the handmade links and the traditional chain. The links are forged each and shaped by hand from round wire. This is a real labor of love, forging the ends of each length of wire, filing and shaping the ends, drilling the holes, sanding and perfecting the shape of each link, and then soldering each link closed to connect them.
The metal takes on a lovely, soft texture from the hand forging process. I love with weight and feel of this piece, it's structural but fluid, and feels so good around the neck.
