The Monument ring design was inspired by my Coil rings, I wanted to expand on the shape, incorporate height and be able to create a surface for adding stones, or another layer of metal on top. I love the lightness this piece has, the shape and open space make for a balanced design that is substantial without feeling overpowering.
This ring is built with an 18k gold and silver. The gold is recycled scrap from other projects, melted down, and forged into shape with multiple hammers and files. I love the softly hammered texture, and not too shiny finish. It will age beautifully over time.
