A little bit of joy to wear around your neck.
The original Happy Face necklace was made for my wife Jo, as a memorial piece for her mom. Lani Mae collected happy face tchotchkes and signed every letter with a little happy face stamp. The silly little smiley face, turned into something wearable that can be worn everyday, and be a reminder of her mom. Or in your case, it be something to bring a smile to your face when you see it. As always, each of these little happy faces is fabricated entirely by hand. I recycle the silver, melt it into a small blob, then forge it into shape. From there, it’s refined with a few different files before moving on to sanding and texture.
The tiny 18k details are soldered on individually. Tiny soldering is a delicate process that calls for patience, a steady hand, a deep breath… and very good magnifying glasses.

Chains are 19" long, finished off with a handmade clasp, and given an oxidized patina with a polished finish
