Three handmade sculptural beads in recycled 18k gold, float on an oxidized and polished silver chain. I melted the gold into ingots and then forged them into these flat discs and gave them a soft ancient inspired texture. The hand forged clasp finishes this piece off, and I love how it looks worn off to the side or toward the front.
I made them with weight, texture and movement in mind, I love the varying shapes, and how they move along the chain together, laying in different positions. The weight of this piece is satisfying, you can really feel it around your neck, and what is it about fiddling with the beads along the chain that is so satisfying?
